Who Pays for My Flight to Dubai If I Get the Job?

If you’re applying for a job in Dubai from another country, you may be wondering:

“Okay, but if they hire me… who’s paying for my flight?”

This is a very fair question.

And the honest answer is: it depends on the company and the offer.

Some companies may provide a one-way flight to Dubai for an overseas candidate who has been hired, particularly as part of their relocation or joining arrangements.

But not every company does this.

Some may expect you to arrange and pay for your own flight, even after you receive the job offer. Others may reimburse your travel expenses under specific conditions.

That’s why I don’t want you to assume that “I got the job” automatically means “the company will buy my ticket.”

Instead, ask.

And please don’t feel uncomfortable asking this question. You’re not being difficult or demanding. You simply want to understand what you’re agreeing to before you make a major move.

Before booking anything, ask the recruiter or HR:

“Could you please confirm whether the company will cover my initial flight to the UAE?”

A good recruiter should be able to tell you whether the flight is covered, reimbursed, or your responsibility.

And one more thing I really want you to remember:

Never send money to someone simply because they tell you that you need to pay a fee to secure your flight, visa, or job.
